The S&P 500 was settling into modest gains thanks to help from Tesla and other major consumer discretionary stocks. At the sector level, only real estate, technology, and consumer discretionary stocks were rising. The latter was the clear standout with a gain of 3% thanks to big days from Tesla, Pool Corp, and Las Vegas Sands.
