Our list ranks the 20 US states with the highest per capita CO2 emissions in ascending order of their CO2 emissions per capita in metric tonnes of CO2. We have also listed the change in emissions from 2020 to 2021 to provide insights into the year-over-year changes in the carbon emissions of the states.
