NEW CASTLE, Delaware, Oct 30 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden on Monday lauded the reported agreement reached between General Motors and the United Auto Workers (UAW) union, which would effectively end the first simultaneous strike against the Detroit Three automakers.

"I think it's great," Biden, who has touted himself as pro-union and backed the UAW, said when asked about the reported deal. (Reporting by Jeff Mason; writing by Susan Heavey; Editing by Doina Chiacu)
