Highgate has unveiled plans to rebrand four of its properties in the Algarve, Portugal, aligning them with the Marriott International brand.
The Westin Salgados Beach Resort, Algarve; The Residences at The Westin Salgados Beach Resort, Algarve; Algarve Marriott Salgados Golf Resort & Conference Center; and Marriott Residences Salgados Resort, Algarve will become the first Highgate-managed properties in Portugal to become part of Marriott's network.
Located within the Salgados Beach resort destination, the renovations will focus on public spaces, guest accommodations, and dining venues.
The renovations are scheduled to start later this year, with a targeted reopening of all properties in 2025.
Highgate Portugal CEO Alexandre Solleiro said: “We are delighted to breathe new life into four of our revered resorts and residences through rebrandings and extensive renovations.
“By bringing the esteemed Marriott Hotels and Westin brands into our European portfolio, we are confident that we will be able to deliver refreshed and enhanced hospitality experiences for our guests and residents.”
The Westin Salgados Beach Resort will feature 95 rooms and suites, along with 42 residences, offering premium beachside accommodation.
It will provide amenities such as direct beach access, multiple outdoor pools, and a range of wellness programmes.
The Residences at The Westin will offer one to three-bedroom options for those seeking a beachfront resort lifestyle.
The Algarve Marriott Salgados Golf Resort & Conference Centre will provide 228 rooms and suites.
It will have flexible meeting spaces, a large auditorium, and a variety of leisure facilities.
Meanwhile, the Marriott Residences Salgados Resort will house 192 residences adjacent to the golf course and near the beach, offering a range of sports facilities and family-friendly amenities.
