Kinaxis Inc., a specialist in ‘end-to-end supply chain orchestration’, has announced that Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) has selected it to help revolutionise its auto supply chain planning capabilities.
Kinaxis said that as a result of the partnership, M&M will gain ‘full transparency over its end-to-end auto supply chain’, empowering the company with the flexibility and agility to respond to changes in demand and supply ecosystems.
“The connected Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) implementation with Kinaxis will, by design, lead to increased transparency & collaboration across departments, augment our demand and supply forecast accuracy and facilitate comprehensive scenario modelling to drive efficiencies and agile decision-making across key cross-functional forums,” said Rucha Nanavati, chief digital transformation officer, automotive sector, M&M.
“The need for agility-driven transformation to meet challenges and drive business success is imperative in today’s uncertain world,” said Phillip Teschemacher, APAC president at Kinaxis. “We’re looking forward to working with the team at M&M.”
Kinaxis customers in automotive include Volvo, Harley Davidson, Ford, Subaru and General Motors.
Kinaxiz says its AI-infused supply chain orchestration platform, Maestro, combines proprietary technologies and techniques that provide full transparency and agility across the entire supply chain — from multi-year strategic planning to last-mile delivery.
What is Maestro?
According to Kinaxis, the Maestro platform comprises three layers: a supply chain data fabric connecting internal and external data sources into a ‘single source of truth’, an always-on intelligence engine that delivers real-time insights, predictions and adaptive solutions, and a seamless user interface. This, it says, enables business leaders to make faster and more valuable decisions than ever before, from anywhere and from any device.
For example, in response to higher demand of a new EV following a high-profile celebrity endorsement, an automaker concerned about component shortages might ask ‘How do I prevent a stockout?’. It is claimed Maestro’s generative AI-powered intelligent assistant would provide guidance based on supply chain best practices to ensure disruptions are absorbed and managed in real-time.
