Japanese automaker Nissan Motor last week unveiled the all-new Nissan Murano midsize crossover vehicle designed specifically for the North American market. The model is scheduled to go on sale exclusively in the US and Canada in early 2025.
This is the third all-new Nissan model recently developed for the North American market under The Arc Business plan, following the launch of the Kicks in August and the unveiling of the all-new Armada in September.
The all-new Murano also comes fitted with 21-inch wheels, full-width LED tail lights and is available with two-tone paintwork. The cockpit has a high-definition 12.3-inch display; 64-colour ambient lighting and massaging front seats.
The vehicle has a new more powerful 2.0-litre 241hp variable-compression (VC) turbo engine, coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for “more engaging driving dynamics”. It comes with the option of front-wheel drive and intelligent all-wheel drive (IAWD), frequency sensitive dampers and electric power steering.
It also comes with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 safety system as standard and features two new camera technologies: “Invisible Hood View” which provides a virtual view through the engine bay for precise navigation, and “3D Around View Monitor” which provides eight virtual vantage points around the vehicle when parking or maneuvering.
Like the outgoing model, the new Murano will be produced at the company’s Smyrna plant in Tennessee.
