Ferrovial’s subsidiary and construction company Webber has secured nine new construction and maintenance contracts with a combined value of $1.2bn.

The projects span various infrastructure developments, including roadway improvements, bridge construction, and water treatment plant expansions.

The Texas Department of Transportation contracted Webber for the $312.5m IH 27 project in Randall County and the $69.9m US 60 Parmer County project in Friona.

The IH 27 project will see the addition of an extra lane over a 6.9-mile stretch, while the US 60 project involves constructing new lanes, a bridge deck, and MSE walls over 5.3 miles.

In Florida, the Department of Transportation has selected the company for the $236.3m I-10 at SR 95 project and the $55.5m I-10 at SR 10 project.

These projects will involve widening and realignment of lanes, bridge replacements, and the construction of new bridges.

The company has also marked its entry into Tennessee with a $66m contract for the maintenance of 286 centreline miles in the Nashville area, covering multiple counties.

In Canada, the company has been awarded two contracts worth $102m each in Niagara and Toronto.

The Niagara project will focus on managing the high traffic of visitors and commercial vehicles, while in Toronto, Webber will handle the winter maintenance of the 407 ETR.

PLW Waterworks, part of Ferrovial's water division, has also won several contracts in Texas.

The $178m project will involve the deconstructing and decommissioning of the Walnut Branch Wastewater Treatment Plant and the expansion of the Geronimo Creek WWTP in Seguin to a capacity of 12.0 million gallons per day (MGD).

Additionally, the Dr Paul Phillips Water Purification Plant in Weatherford will undergo an expansion from 12MGD to 18MGD, estimated at $90m.

The South Water Treatment Plant Expansion, valued at $58m will increase capacity from 1.5MGD to 3MGD.

Last year, Webber secured nine construction projects in two US states, worth more than $1bn.
