Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman issued a statement after she voted against the central bank's decision to cut interest rates by 50 basis points. Bowman wanted to cut rates by 25 basis points, saying she doesn't think the Federal Reserve has met its inflation goal.
Yahoo Finance senior Fed reporter Jennifer Schonberger runs through Bowman's comments following this week's rate cut.
In a statement, Bowman wrote "I see the risk that the Committee’s larger policy action could be interpreted as a premature declaration of victory on our price stability mandate."
The Federal Reserve cut interest rates on Wednesday for the first time in four years.
