Nasdaq, stocks close higher after tech earnings, wonky jobs data

The Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) leads market indexes higher as the big three close out the first trading day of November in positive territory. This all comes on the back of this morning's jobs report that saw the US economy gain only 12,000 jobs in the month of October, heavily disrupted by recent hurricanes and ongoing labor strikes.
