Dow nears 40,000 as second quarter kicks off: Yahoo Finance Live

Wall Street is kicking off its first trading day of the second quarter, hoping to build on the strongest first quarter for stocks in five years. Amid the milestones in sight, the Dow (^DJI) is within striking distance of 40,000. Today also marks the first trading day since Friday's PCE reading, which was in line with expectations. Traders will be keyed in on several big moments this week, including Disney's (DIS) annual shareholder meeting, which is taking place amid an ongoing board battle with activist investor Nelson Peltz, and the March jobs report due out Friday morning.
