Lightspeed Commerce has formed a strategic collaboration with US Foods Holding to drive innovation in restaurant operations.

The partnership will integrate Lightspeed Restaurant technology into US Foods' CHECK Business Tools programme, which is accessible to thousands of foodservice operators nationwide.

The initiative empowers entrepreneurs by accelerating growth, enhancing customer experiences and establishing their venues as top dining destinations.

US Foods' customers will benefit from exclusive offers on Lightspeed POS [point-of-sale] hardware, advanced insights and multi-location management capabilities.

The integration of the Lightspeed restaurant POS systems and Lightspeed payments into the CHECK business tools programme will modernise restaurant operations.

The programme will assist restaurateurs in increasing traffic, simplifying staffing and enhancing overall efficiency.

Lightspeed hospitality senior vice-president Adoniram Sides said: “Partnering with US Foods to bring our advanced POS solutions to their CHECK business tools programme marks a significant milestone.

“Through this collaboration, we aim to help restaurant operators streamline their operations, boost profitability and create memorable customer experiences. We're setting a new standard in the dining industry by delivering unmatched value and support to restaurateurs.”

US Foods business solutions director Adam Stinn stated: “We are excited to welcome Lightspeed as a new provider in our CHECK business tools programme.

“Our goal is to offer our customers reliable technology providers, who bring meaningful solutions and impactful product innovations to help their businesses succeed. We believe Lightspeed has a lot to offer, and are looking forward to this new collaboration.”

In April 2024, Lightspeed Commerce unveiled new enhancements to its hospitality platform, Lightspeed Restaurant.

The upgraded platform included new modules such as Lightspeed advanced insights, which uses transaction data from Lightspeed payments and integrates with services including OpenTable.
