Insurance technology company Root and Goosehead Insurance, an independent personal lines insurance agency, have entered a technology integration.

The partnership is aimed at enhancing the insurance process for agents and clients through advanced technology.

It will see Root's quote delivery solution integrated with Goosehead's proprietary Quote to Issue platform, streamlining the entire insurance application process comprising application, coverage customisation and payment.

Root said this integration is expected to cut the time agents spend selling policies by more than 50% by providing connectivity and removing the need to access separate systems.

This collaborative effort between Root and Goosehead has resulted in a fully embedded insurance product that promises a quicker, more straightforward and transparent experience for clients.

Founded in 2015 in Columbus, Ohio, US, insurtech company Root owns the Root Insurance Company.

Goosehead Insurance, which operates through corporate and franchise locations across the US, represents more than 150 insurance companies that underwrite personal and commercial lines.

In April 2023, Goosehead Insurance joined with Vivint Smart Home to enhance home insurance solutions using smart home technology.

The partnership with Vivint Smart Home aimed to create new services and offerings that provide personalised options for clients, potentially leading to savings on home insurance.
