Swiss watch startup Norqain marks its third year partnering with the New York City Marathon, with a notable difference this year: Founder & CEO Ben Küffer will be among the runners. Küffer joins Josh Lipton and Senior Reporter Pras Subramanian on Asking for a Trend to discuss this milestone and the company's expansion into the athletic watch market.
"The marathon was a great way to show what we're doing at Norqain. We're challenging the market with new materials and sporty watches," Küffer tells Yahoo Finance.
He explains that their watches target younger consumers, combining innovation and quality "back to a price range where people can enjoy it and actually invest in a mechanical watch and say 'I have a great first timepiece.'"
Küffer notes that the brand has successfully attracted two distinct customer bases: active, sporty first-time watch buyers and established collectors. "It's really nice to see we have those two demographics," he says, expressing excitement about the brand's growing appeal.
