Trump confirms he's 'safe' after second assassination attempt

The FBI is investigating a second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump after shots were reported fired at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. A suspect is currently in custody.

In a message from the Trump campaign, the Republican candidate wrote in an email to supporters: "There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I AM SAFE AND WELL! Nothing will slow me down."

Yahoo Finance senior columnist Rick Newman reports on the incident, which comes just over two months after Trump was fired upon at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
