Accor has announced a significant expansion in Singapore with the signing of two new-build properties with three hotel brands slated to open by 2027 with its long-time partners, Fragrance Group Limited and Global Premium Hotels Limited.

This agreement will launch M?venpick Singapore, the first M?venpick Living in Singapore, and a Handwritten Collection branded hotel, all situated near the city's central business district and cultural hubs.

Located at Hoe Chiang Road, M?venpick Singapore will feature approximately 808 keys, making it the largest M?venpick hotel in the Asia Pacific. M?venpick Living Singapore will be housed in the same building and cater to those seeking extended stays.

By late 2025, Waterloo Street will welcome a new 502-key hotel under the Handwritten Collection brand. This property will be the second Handwritten Collection hotel in Singapore, following the successful launch of Hotel Faber Park Singapore - Handwritten Collection in late 2023.

Accor Asia premium, midscale, and economy division COO Garth Simmons expressed excitement over the strengthening of Accor's presence in Singapore. "This signing not only demonstrates the robust demand from owners and investors for brands within Accor but also reinforces our commitment to leading the region's growth and redefining the future of hospitality in Asia."

Accor's strategic partnership with Fragrance Group and Global Premium Hotels has resulted in the operation of 17 hotels in Singapore, five in Australia, and three in the UK. The new properties will add to Accor's already extensive portfolio in Singapore, which includes 35 hotels across 13 brands.

Fragrance Group founder and chairman Koh Wee Meng said, "We are excited about this new chapter in our partnership with Accor. These new properties will allow us to continue curating enriching experiences for our guests and further diversify our hospitality offerings in Singapore.

“As we expand our portfolio, we are committed to delivering memorable stays that cater to the evolving needs of travellers. We look forward to working closely with Accor to bring these exceptional properties to life."

Earlier this month, Accor widened its portfolio in Africa with the opening of a new Sofitel-branded property in Benin.

"Accor announces agreement for three new hotels in Singapore" was originally created and published by Hotel Management Network, a GlobalData owned brand.
