ConocoPhillips to buy Marathon, American Airlines sinks: Yahoo Finance

ConocoPhillips (COP) has struck a deal to acquire Marathon Oil (MRO) in a $22.5 billion all-stock deal. The deal includes over $5 billion in net debt. In the airline sector, America Airlines (AAL) is sinking this morning after the company slashed its outlook for the second quarter. The move is dragging on other big names in the sector. On Wall Street, investors are focused on the Nasdaq (^IXIC) after it breached 17,000 for the first time Tuesday largely due to a jump in Nvidia (NVDA).
